The program
Two stages, practiced the way the interview actually runs: you make a choice, then defend it.
01 · Mini-case
Business and math problems, explained step by step
- Restate the goal before you calculate
- Name your assumptions out loud
- Write math someone can follow
- Turn the number into a recommendation
02 · Power Day
The conversations: product, technical, data and leadership
- Product sense: make a call and defend it
- Technical and data questions, in plain language
- Leadership stories that hold up under probing
- Follow-ups that keep asking “why?”
Why I made this
I’m a Product Manager and a hiring manager. I’m also a neurodivergent woman and an immigrant.
When I was preparing for Capital One, I went down a rabbit hole. At some point, I realized how much energy I was spending figuring out how to interview, and it felt like I was putting in 100 times more effort than my peers to get to the same place.
So I’m putting what I learned here. The questions, the preparation, and how to explain your product decisions when someone keeps asking “why?”
This is for Product Managers with diverse backgrounds who find interviews harder than they probably should be. We’ll practice the Mini-case and Power Day.
I want more people with different backgrounds and ways of thinking on product teams—including mine. Helping people prepare is one thing I can do.
And if you pass Power Day and there’s a relevant opening on my team, we may get a chance to talk about whether it’s a good fit.
Buying this program is not required to be considered for a role and does not influence hiring decisions. Any conversation depends on available roles and the normal hiring process.
Independent interview preparation. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Capital One. Signing up or purchasing is not a job application and does not affect hiring decisions.
How you’ll practice
Write your answer
Each drill gives you a written prompt and space to structure a full answer at your own pace, with an optional timer if you want the pressure.
Explore the follow-ups
Practice the part most people skip: explaining your decisions when someone keeps asking “why?” — including an optional AI-generated follow-up.
Review and revise
Compare your answer with worked guidance and a self-check, then save your revisions and watch them improve over the month.
